Infinity
Infinity (est. 2020) is a theatre company based in Naarm/Melbourne and Djilang/Geelong and led by director and artist Jackson Castiglione. Jackson works in collaboration with 5 young leaders who devise, perform and provide guidance to other young artists during projects and activities the company facilitates and makes.
Infinity has had work commissioned by The Substation (Newport), RISING Festival (Naarm) and Hong Kong Arts Festival. They have also had work presented at IOTF Boston, USA. Currently Infinity is working on a major commission by the Hong Kong Arts Festival (Young Friends).
Infinity’s work is centred around youth culture, and is driven by the perspectives and interests of its core team. We seek to make performances in response to emerging cultural trends and the changing ways young people choose to entertain themselves. Our work shifts forms to engage different audiences and best serve our ideas. We have made a video artwork featuring a never ending Zoom conversation, a transmedia performance for RISING festival and are currently developing an immersive theatrical work set in the world of a supernatural high school. Our latest work is a performance centred around the lives of 6 Young Hong Kong actors as they share personal stories while coming to terms with extraordinary technological and cultural shifts.
